Firecapture For Mac
Planetary imaging on the Mac. Planetary is fairly straight forward. Large aperture scopes like 6' and above are great for this, and you don't need to have an equatorial mount. Any Alt/Az (Altitude Azimuth) mount will work. A high speed web cam or astro camera and Mac laptop are the only additional entry level hardware requirements. Note that you should be able to run any of the Windows programs listed above on your Mac with OS-X and software like Parallels or VMware Fusion. Midnightkite also has a nice collection of links to lots of other astronomical related software for a variety of operating systems.

AutoStakkert! is Windows only software. However, it does run fine using Wine under both Linux and macOS. As of yet there are no plans to make native versions for either of these operating systems.

1a) AutoStakkert! is free for educational use (schools, universities and libraries) and for use in charity or humanitarian organisations.
1b) If you intend to use AutoStakkert! at your place of business or for commercial purposes, you have to register and purchase AutoStakkert! Contact me by E-Mail for prices, discounts and payment methods.
2) AutoStakkert! Software is owned by Emil Kraaikamp and is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must treat the Software like any other copyrighted material.
3) You may not distribute, rent, sub-license or otherwise make available to others the Software or documentation or copies thereof, except as expressly permitted in this License without prior written consent from the author of AutoStakkert!
